I finally figured out why people stopped using the words "prejudges" and "bigoted" and started using the word "racist" instead.
They like to call out other people for their racism, so they feel good about themselves, but they don't want to acknowledge their own prejudges and bigotry towards others. That way they can justify their own hatred for others, because they are not part of that other hated group.
