In 2008 we were living on the side of Red Mountain in southeastern Washington state (US). For a while, a few of these lovely wildflowers were growing on our property. Unfortunately they were in an area that we had to mow for wildfire safety, and although I tried my best to drive the tractor around them, they eventually died out. I've never gotten one to grow from seed.
